There’s no such thing as an “Obsolete” OS

Or so say my OS stats.

What’s really surprising isn’t the fact that I get these hits, but it’s that if my little, insignificant, corer of the web gets these results, then imagine an ultra popular web page. Apparently “Obsolete” is just a term used by tech guys and marketing guys.

All you consumers out there are happy just using what you have. But I hope you keep your systems secure!

And one more surprise this morning; Apparently Germans love me…

Willkommene Deutsch!

Willkommene Deutsch!

I’m not quite sure what it is about my site or blog that Germans find particularly interesting, but welcome anyway!

  1. Wow, these are really telling stats. I’m shocked that Windows 3.xx showed up at all. That’s kind of a scary thought. And Vista is quite a bit more popular than I’d expected; at the very least, I’d have thought XP and Vista would have the others’ stats.

A good portion of the Mac OS X hits are probably mine :P Good ol’ DHCP.

  2. ha! I appear to be big in Germany too according to my stats. Surprised to see some Win 3.x clients on that list! I am curious how you have awstats running on a wordpress hosted blog :)

  3. Hey, thanks for the contribution ;) Macs are always welcome!

Konrad, I’m only running awstats on my domain. There’s nothing on my site but a link to this blog and a contact email. But, surprisingly, people still find this blog through the site.

I used to run a blog on that domain a while ago, and I might have mentioned wanting to go visit Germany some day. Maybe that post is caught in a search engine cache somewhere :P
